Winning the Traffic Exchange Game

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Winning the traffic exchange game can be done. I was just starting out online and had no money so I was looking for a free way to drive traffic to my site. That is when I first found traffic exchanges. I found the concept to be great and signed up for everyone I found and started clicking and clicking and clicking. After countless hours, a blistered clicking finger and a lot of frustration I found the secret to the game.

Traffic Is What They Want

The members clicking for hits at the traffic exchanges are looking for the same thing you are. Traffic to there site. Most are not interested in finding a new opportunity or looking to go shopping they just want traffic. So how do you get their business? The most effective way is by using a lead capture page.

Lead Capture Page

A lead capture page is a simple site that stands out to the surfer. The object is to not sell your product or information but to create curiosity. At the bottom of the page you will need a form so people can request more information from you. By nature we are curious people so people will sign up.

The people that are surfing for hits have 30 seconds on average to review your site it is hard to sell a product in 30 seconds but it is pretty easy to peak someone’s curiosity. You can see the page I use in the traffic exchanges at: http://www.dreams2freedom.com/listbuilder.html

Follow Up

O.K. I have a lead capture page but were do I send the people that sign up? An autoresponder. An autoresponder is a program that will automatically follow up with your prospects for you. You can create a number of different messages and have them sent at different intervals to your prospect after they signup through your lead capture page. This is a great tool because it puts your business on auto pilot after you do the initial work to get the lead. The autoresponder I use is GetResponse It is feature-rich and free to set up. You can check it out at: http://www.GetResponse.com/index/dreams2freedom

Now that you have an autoresponder you are going to write detailed instructions on how you product works or a report on how you product can benefit the subscriber and split it into at least 5 emails. Most people will not buy on the first contact so you want to give the subscriber at least 5 exposures. You can see an example of what I use by sending a blank email to: traffic_machine@GetResponse.com. Now set the messages to be sent 3 days apart and watch the sales start coming in.

Capture Leads Not Sales

In conclusion winning the traffic exchange game is fairly simple, don’t try to sell your products just create curiosity and capture their name and email. Have a solution to a problem people have and you will get people begging you for more information.

Hint: People at traffic exchanges want more traffic.

The Secret to Never-Ending Traffic Revealed

Friday, June 5th, 2009

So you’ve built a website that would make your mama proud: informative, stylish, innovate, and insightful. You spent all your spare time into this venture, because deep down in your heart you know that you have a message that needs to be delivered. Mankind will benefit from it!

The problem is that nobody ever comes to see the wonder that you’ve created. It’s kind of like organizing a great party with balloons, great food and giveaways, only to be shunned and treated like you’re a living, walking, plague carrier.

So what to do to make this nightmare go away? Can something still be done? Can one recover from this potential life long devastation?

The answer is yes. There are ways to fix this problem. There are secret methods that can be used to gather the herd and bring them into the fold.

Here are some tricks of the trade:

1. Spread the word. Join message boards and online forums so you can leave your mark. These days message boards and online forums are extremely popular. It wouldn’t hurt to leave your website url. There are a lot of curious folks out there who love website hopping. So make sure that one of the websites they hop to is yours by making people aware that you are out there.

2. Link your website with another site that has a high ranking traffic rate, but you have to make sure that their content is similar to yours. If your website is about fashion, it would not make sense to be linked with a website that offers information about cat litter boxes! In real life we choose our friends, in cyberspace it would not hurt to do the same thing.

3. If you have a paying website, create a section that offers some free content. This way, the readers will get a sample of what you have to offer. Look at it this way, if your content is that good, nobody will be able to resist.

4. List your website to a search engine. People love using search engines. It’s the faster and quickest way to find what you’re looking for.

5. Keep your website updated! There are a lot of software nowadays that keep track of the websites that are constantly being updated. Don’t get left behind, keep up with the tide by constantly improving the content of your website. Even if it’s just a minor alteration that the human eye can’t detect, chances are the machines will! So keep those update hunter software happy by feeding them what they want: little chunks of new meat.

6. You have to spend some money to earn some money. If you’re doing business online and need to generate some traffic that you can then turn to cash you might want to think about participating in an affiliate program. Basically what this means, is that for a small sum off money, you would hire some people who own websites to advertise your online business on their sites.

7. Great content brings in traffic. If you have an awesome website people will keep on coming back and become a part of your permanent stream of traffic. If it is spectacular, your greatness might even spread through word of mouth!

8. Become a blogger wannabe. Don’t underestimate the benefits of blogging. It’s not just a place where you can share your tears of joy and happiness, and write stories about your disappointments and defeats. Blogging is the latest craze that’s sweeping the cyberspace nation. Advertising your online business on your blog can help bring it quality traffic to your website. Nowadays, blogs can be used for marketing and advertising.

9. Make use of pay per click engines. Certain keywords can help keep you be on top of certain search engine lists. Choosing the right keywords will help bring in traffic into your website. Make sure that the amount you are paying for these keywords is being matched by the investments that the traffic visitors bring into your website. The secret is to achieve a proper balance.

10. Do your homework! Find out how website owners become successful when it comes to bringing in traffic to their websites. You can do this by doing research on the internet. You can also talk to internet marketers about the various techniques they apply in generating traffic. The secret is to be aware of all the possibilities that you can turn into an opportunity to create traffic for your website.

With all of these tips under your disposal, there’s no telling the amount of greatness your website can achieve. Pretty soon you’d have so much traffic in you website that you yourself would be amazed at the number of hits that you’re getting!

About Google PageRank

Friday, June 5th, 2009

PageRank (PR) is Google’s way of measuring the quality and relative “importance” of your website to searchers. It’s purpose is to give web surfers an idea of the importance of a website

PageRank is measured on a scale of 0 to 10. Your PageRank depends on the amount of web pages that link to yours, and the PR’s of each of those pages.

It can take up to three months for a new website to be assigned a PageRank – depending on when Google decides to do the Google Update, where all websites’ PR’s are reviewed.

A thousand links from pages with low PageRanks can eventually achieve as high a PR as that from a few web pages with high PR’s. Some website owners research the value of a potential link partner’s PR before deciding whether or not to link with them.

It’s true that a web page with a high PageRank can pass on a high PR to you, but this can be offset if the page has too many links on it, because the PR is distributed proportionally to all the web pages it links to.

A page with a low PR may be worth linking to

The website may be very new and you will have to wait for the Google Update before the value of linking with that website can be determined.
Never link with a website merely because they have a high PR – consider the content of the website and it’s relevance to your target market as well.

Misconceptions Addressed:

A High PageRank does not mean you will rank at the top of Google’s results pages; it merely means that your website is well established on the Internet and that if your website is listed in the Google Directory it will be listed above similar websites with lower PageRanks. It is debateable, but the only true benefits of a high PageRank are that visitors that come across your site and see on the Google Toolbar that you have a high rank may perceive you as a more professional business, and that you are may receive more traffic from the Google Directory.

Is There A Difference Between Manual Traffic Exchange, and Auto Surf Traffic Exchange?

Saturday, January 10th, 2009

For those of you that do not know what a traffic exchange it, is it a site that you join, and agree to view other members websites to have them view yours. This can be a great form of advertising because a real person is at the other end of the computer viewing your website, where you will be promoting your product, or service. This sounds like a great, but how do you get traffic exchanges to work for you?

There are many websites that tells you to join hundreds of traffic exchanges, to get the joining bonus. Yes it sounds great, but big mistake! If you just joined to get the joining bonus that the traffic exchange offers you probably will never get it. Why? Many of the traffic exchanges require you to have surfed a required amount to get that bonus. So if you thought you were going to get away there. Your Wrong! The worse part is that if you joined to get the joining bonus, the traffic exchanges usually will not put your website into rotation until you have activated your account. So do not go out, and do that you will only be wasting your valuable time. Later on in the article I will tell you how you will be able to benefit from multiple traffic exchanges, and the proper way to do it.

There are two types of traffic exchanges that you can join. Manual Surf, and Auto Surf traffic exchanges.

Auto Surf is exactly what is says automatic. I know you might be thinking that this is a good thing. Wrong again. When you set up an automatic surf, you will be setting it, and going about your business. Think about it, if you wanted traffic to your website, and the other person on the other end of the computer is suppose to be viewing your website, how much people do you think will see your website using this method? Not many. Personally I stay away from automatic traffic exchanges, because they do me no good.
I am not giving them a bad label; it just does not benefit me. However, there are auto surfs out there that you can join, and they will pay you to use their service. It is not much but over a period of time, it will add up. Will they pay you? Now that is another article all by itself. What I recommend that you do if you are interested in using auto surfs is to do your research, and know what you are getting into.

Now we will talk about Manual Traffic Exchanges. A manual traffic exchange is when there are other people sitting behind the other end of the computer, clicking on a certain image to view the next website. There is a live person, to see your site, and not a couch potato, hanging out on the couch hoping that he will get rich off of auto surf traffic exchanges. If your site or offer is interesting enough to the viewer they will stop, and look at what you have to offer. That part is up to you.

If you are interested in promoting an affiliate program the traffic exchanges it is recommended that you do not just promote your affiliate page as it is. You probably will be able to get signups, but not that many. What is recommended is that you create splash pages or landing pages. A splash page is a one-page site that teases your viewers about your product or service. The best way to get more visitors to your site with splash pages is to list the benefits that your program or product has to offer, when doing this be careful that you are not listing the features. A benefit tells the customer how the product will be able to make their life easier. Everyone wants to make things easier.

With over 2,500 traffic exchange online, and new ones coming on everyday, it would be impossible to surf that many exchanges. That is why I recommend using Cyberwheelers Manual Traffic Exchange downline builder. It consist of over 40 manual surf traffic exchanges, that are put into sets that you can surf using Mozilla Firefox tabbed browser.
All of this is explained at Cyberwheelers.com

In my first three months of using manual traffic exchanges I was able to generate over 120,000 page views to my site, and over 72 signups. Not bad, for sitting if front of the computer for an hour each day, and clicking away.

May The Traffic Force Be With You!

Turn Internet Traffic into Customers

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

Is your Web site like a big billboard where traffic just drives by
and never stops? Here are some tips to help you change your Web site
from a billboard to a storefront where customers come in to visit:

Win Your Customer’s Trust

Your homepage should immediately start building rapport with
your visitors. Make sure it is very clear who you are, what you do
and why they should do business with you. Have a picture of yourself
on the Web site. People like to do business with people they can
trust. By putting a picture of yourself on your site, you become a
person, not just a business.

I have a friend who wasn’t too keen about the idea of putting her
picture on her Web site. She felt that being middle age and over
weight were two good reasons not to have pictures taken, let alone
put it out there for the world to see on the Internet. Nevertheless,
she did put her picture on her site and it was because of the
picture that she landed a big account.

The prospective client was visiting her site and liked what he read
about her qualifications, but it was her picture that really sold him.
When he called her up, he told her that she “looked like someone I
would like to do business with; you have a very honest face.”

Sometimes business decisions turn on the simplest reasons, but you
can be assured that coming across as a real person on your Web site
will certainly increase the trust level with your visitors.

Build Customer Relationships

Let your potential customers know that you understand their problems
and that you have a solution to their problems. One effective way to
do this is to put testimonials on your Web site.

Don’t you tell people how you solve their problems; let someone else
tell the story. Testimonials are powerful and necessary to a successful
Web site. Testimonials not only say you can do the job, but they say
how well you can do the job. And they are so much more believable that
you trying to promote yourself. Let others speak for you.

Include testimonials throughout your Web site. Don’t make the mistake
of having one page just for testimonials. Rarely will someone click
to a testimonials page and read the whole thing. So, you are in essence
wasting your time and resources with a testimonials page.

Instead, sprinkle testimonials wherever you think they might help
convince your audience that what you are saying is true. Back up your
statements with testimonials and you start building relationships
with your readers.

Make It Easy to Find Information

The navigation on a Web site can make or break a Web site. You can have
the best content in the world, but if readers can’t find what they are
looking for, they will leave.

Use simple, descriptive headings and subheadings to direct visitors
throughout your Web site. Put keywords in the headings and subheadings
so that the Search Engines have an easier time indexing your pages.

Think about the problems you solve for your readers and make sure you
offer solutions to those problems. Remember, people are searching for
information and solutions to their problems.

The easier you make it for them to find information, the more likely
you will be able to entice the visitor to stay awhile. And, the
longer they stay, the more likely you will gain a customer.

Catapult Your Traffic With These Web Site Add-Ons

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

Having a website is great but, if the site doesn’t have any traffic, then what good is it really doing for you? Here are some features that you can add to your site to generate more traffic and more stickiness for your site.

1. You should add a blog to your website. Blogs are a fast and easy way to add content to your site. Why is that important? Search engines love content. A frequently updated blog will attract the search engine spiders and will get your site indexed quickly. You should try to post blog entries at least a couple of times per day.

2. Add a message board to your web site. This helps your site to develop its own little community. People will visit your web site to ask questions and answer other people’s questions.

3. Add a directory of web site links to your web site. People will visit your web site to find related web site links for the topic they’re interested in. As an added bonus, links are also content for search engine spiders.

4. Add an article section to your web site. People will visit your web site to read and learn new info related to their interests. And this also will provide content for the search engines.

5. Add an archive of past e-zine issues to your web site. People will visit your web site to read past issues of your e-zine that they’ve missed.

6. People love freebies. You should add a f.ree software download page to your web site. People will visit your web site to find new software that will make their life easier. Also add a free ebook directory to your web site. People will visit your site to download, study and read new information.

7. Add a free classified ad section. People will visit your web site to place their own free classified ad and to read other offers.

8. Add a free link page to your web site. People will visit your web site to place their own link and to look at other people’s links. This is a double bonus. Not only will you get traffic from the links, but, once again, links are also content that search engines love.

9. Add an “about us” page to your web site. People will visit your web site to read about your business and yourself.

10. Add a guest book to your web site. People will visit your web site to leave their opinions about your business and to list their signature file.

Using the above methods to add features to your website will not only draw more traffic to your site, but they will also make your visitors want to stay on your site longer and want to come back and visit again and again.
