Big Hitter

My dad really likes going on golf holidays.
He has been a golf enthusiast since before I was born, and he is terrific at it now. Occasionally if I accompany him I am amazed by the distance that he can drive his golfball, and it rarely lands in the rough as my shots frequently do.
One time when we were out, I managed 15 strokes on the 8th alone!

My aunt adores going for spa holidays. She likes to be made a fuss of and to unwind away from the hectic pace of her work. She does work extremely hard therefore when she takes a vacation she loves to just chill out, instead of rushing round seeing stuff. And what more enjoyable means by which to unwind than by going to spend time at a spa?.

There are pals I know who love fishing holidays.
They are never happier than standing beside a river having to wait for ages to land a fish. I am able to sympathize with why they might enjoy that, particularly if they’re somewhere boasting beautiful landscape. My mate Steve went to Scandinavia to fish there, and he said the scenery was wonderful, and so was the girl he travelled with!

From my point of view, the perfect vacations are ecotourism holidays. I need to see the pristine bits of the planet before they’re ruined too.
It is crucial that when on vacation I know that I’m not merely another foolish holiday-maker, but rather that I am actually learning about the native civilization and geography. I booked a Scandinavian holiday in 2008 and it was fabulous.

My brother’s passion is adventure holidays.
He’s that kind of bloke.
He used to be in the army, and he’s constantly chock-full of energy. He really likes wind-surfing and regularly goes around the world to do it, but next year he is going walking in the Norwegian sub-Arctic.

Niche Market

Monday, September 27th, 2010

A niche market is a collection of potential customers who share characteristics that

Make them knowledgeable to a particular product or service. Marketing niche strategy looks at this attribute which could be no more difficult than a very simple need: For example refrigerator magnets, neckties or wedding flowers. Therefore marketing niche strategy is how to convert a likely section of the market into a niche.

Launching a piece of merchandise into a niche market is far cheaper than launching a mass-market product. Potential clients are easier to identify and to reach. Niche markets often develop as a division of mass markets (the market for classic cars and left handed oven mits, and mass marketed manufacturers choose to promote niche products as well. Chevrolet for example manufacturers the Camero SS, a niche vehicle that sells in extremely limited quantities to headstrong motor fanatic. Dodge produces the Viper, and Plymouth the Prowler.

With the order reversed, what are projected to be the niche markets every now and then develop into mass markets. When Apple produced the personal computer in the early 80s, they did not expect it to happen to become a mass market product. Out of the massmarket for personal computers there ultimately developed a number of niches such as portable PC’s.

The upset with niche markets that do not spin mass markets is that they soon reach their boundries. A niche, which can be so valuable in getting the product off the ground, can soon become a limitation. The manufacturer has to find an extra niche product or a different market in which to sell their existing product.

The web has features that make it optimal for niche marketing. Through emailing lists and forums it gathers electronically in one place exactly these groups of consumers with comparable interests that are a niche markers joy. Mailing list and forums focus on certain topics. In each discussion group there can be as many as 10,000 regular readers with special interest in that topic. And there are discussion groups about coin/stampcollecting, racing, cycling etc almost anything you can imagine.

The most essential articles of clothing to pack before going to your site includes thermal long under ware, thermal or wool socks, ski jackets, heavy warm coats, insulated gloves, wool hats, thick turtleneck sweaters and sweat pants. Jeans are not advised.

Layering your clothing is also a good idea when camping in cold weather, so a lot of extra clothing should be brought with you, a good example might be long and short sleeved shirts, fleece jackets, long pants, wool scarves and extra socks. Clothing should not be skin tight when layering as loose fitting clothing can trap warm air and keep the body warmer.

Shoes and Boots

All shoes that are worn when camping should be insulated and waterproof and it is an excellent idea to avoid wearing tennis shoes or trainers because they will not provide much protection from the outdoor elements.

Hiking boots, or rubber boots worn over shoes are a beneficial option. Trousers should always be tucked inside the boots and for more protection duct tape can be taped around the trousers and the top of boots to keep out the cold and snow.

Type of Tent and Bedding to Use

The best type of tent to use at campsites in the winter is one that is designed for all weather conditions and that can be used in any seasons. The tent should be waterproof. The inside of the tent should be kept dry and with warmers.

When camping in cold weather your bedding is very important. If you are sleeping on the ground there should be at least two layers between the sleeping bag and the ground or an insulated padding should be used underneath the sleeping bag. To provide additional warmth the sleeping bag should be fleeced-lined and a wool blanket can be used inside the sleeping bag.

It is also important to keep the head warm when camping in the cold, so it;s recommended that a hat should be worn while sleeping. Also wool socks and thermal underwear should be worn when going to bed.
