But I am always stunned when I listen to the insane misinformation surrounding the treatment.
Here are some of the more mistakes that I come across everyday at Star Cosmetic Medicine, where I work as a doctor.
Myth Number 1: BoTox will freeze my facial muscles!
Underneath the skin of the face are sixty or so muscles. These normally perform harmoniously, however over a period of time lines can begin to form. When surplus BoTox is employed the muscles of the face can become less taut. The quantity injected by nearly all physicians result in you appearing well rested, yet you will of course maintain your normal expression.

At Star Cosmetic Medicine the doctor will use a needle smaller than hair. Numerous individuals say that the injections aren’t worse than bug bites. Definitely not as painful as getting a regular shot.
Myth Number 4: My face will be less sensitive!
False. BoTox targets the neuromuscular junction, not the nerves of sensation. BoTox just impacts on the ability to relax muscular tissues.
Myth Number 5. Once you begin getting BoTox you must continue or you will get worse wrinkles than earlier!
Also untrue.
