Reclaiming Forgone Feminine Mystique by Wearing Lace Front Wigs

Our group of friends never imagined the indestructible Chandra Upton, my high school BFF, might someday cover her head with lace front wigs. Her signature long black hair was synonymous with her femininity. Guess what? She is still celebrated for her trademark toss ‘n turn. Very few think to notice that she confidently masks her medical hair loss under lace wigs. They look that good.

When we were young girls in high school, we used to knocked ‘em dead. But in college her medical hair loss took effect and she went bald. I recommended a few human hair wigs. Oh well, it didn’t matter much. Undeterred by her hair loss, she somewhat obnoxiously showcased her shaved head.

At her fiance’s golf competition, we ate nuts until a numbskull accidentally threw the ball (or whichever thing that is) towards the fans. Quick on her feet, she tried to get it when her bandana flew right off, uncovering her naked head. Undisturbed, she hurled the thing with a tremendous heave into the goal. Attitude, did I mention she’s got it?

However, nobody is perfect. Once she invited me over for a game of bridge, where she sat me down and told me that she would rather make do with a shorn head out of anger. She loved her old hair so much she can’t even think about beautiful wigs, even if she would wear them. And who would have thought our fearless protagonist grew embarrassed and demanded that I it was silly. I had to oblige.

I wanted to help so bad. Later on, I IM’d with her about going shopping with me for a new lace front wig. After a long deliberation the two of us ended up with an agreement: we’ll think of wigs as fashion, and we love fashion. We have a knack for making online wig shopping fun.

We had a great time, floored by the possibilities. She couldn’t believe that human hair wigs were so natural for so many women. These lace front wigs complimented her natural beauty. As for me, coordinated a delightfully new ensemble to wear with my wig. Out of solidarity, if you haven’t heard. Last Christmas she gave me a photo of us in our wigs and thanked me for invisible lace front wig, and said it encourages new vibrance in her life. It’s encouraging to watch her float about as light as a feather. We both are.
